Yes! You can book for an in-person consult or a video consult over Zoom. They are both free of charge, that way you are not investing in something you haven’t even decided on yet!
-
Yes, I don’t discriminate between genders, so my pricing and booking looks the same. For instance, if you are looking to book a men’s haircut you would just schedule a wash and haircut.

I am in Over The Moon Salon at 270 West Avenue. The salon is right past Main Street, on the first floor of a grey two-story house right next to a Dunkin Donuts. We have a parking lot behind the building, and you will see where to walk in as you pull around! For any assistance with directions, please call us at (856)-275-7773.
-
Yes! Just be sure to add your phone number and email when booking your appointment. You will receive a confirmation message after booking your appointment, and your reminder 24 hours before your scheduled time.
-
You may arrive on time or 5 minutes before your scheduled time.
-
If you find yourself running behind, please reach out via phone call - (856)-275-7773 - to let Hailey know when you will be arriving. If you find yourself falling behind 15 minutes or more, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
-
The only service that I request you wash your hair before is if you are receiving a natural curl haircut. For most other services, it is not required.
If you have recently been in a pool with chlorine, or have a lot of oil or product buildup, then I may wash it for you during your appointment. If you prefer to wash your hair yourself before your appointment, you may do so.
-
Yes, we offer gift cards for Over The Moon Salon as a whole. You may purchase them over the phone - (856)-275-7773 - and we will hold onto them for you, or you may come to the salon to purchase.
-
If you like to keep your hair at a certain length or are trying to slowly chip away at damaged ends without making a big chop, I recommend every 4-5 weeks.
If you are looking to let your hair grow and only cut off split ends, I recommend every 8-10 weeks.
-
K18 uses a biomimetic peptide to permanently repair your hair. I like to think of it visually, as if the bonds in your hair were chain links; when your hair is damaged, you’re missing a link. K18 goes into your hair and replaces that missing chain link for good. Now, hair is fragile, so it is fairly easy to damage. This is why I recommend having the full treatment done with every color service, or every so often if you don’t receive color servicing. It’s not something you have to be on a schedule with, and you can’t use it too much! If there's no link to replace, it won’t hurt your hair like protein treatments can.
-
At this time, I do not have a cancellation policy. However, if you have been unable to let me know that you will have to cancel your appointment (without good reason) a handful of times, I may reach out to you to figure out a game plan moving forward.
-
Yes! Bringing in pictures allows us to deep dive into your thoughts and feelings on the cut or color you are envisioning. Everyone sees something a little different in the pictures we see, and bringing in your inspiration will help us be on the same page.
Will it look exactly the same as your picture? Most often than not, no. Can we get pretty darn close? Yes, we can! —Unfortunately, everyone’s head of hair is vastly different. From texture, to amount and thickness, even to the amount of surface area it covers and how it grows & lays, plays a part in what your finished product will look like. This is why I’m a stickler for an in-depth consultation. I want us to be able to cover all of your concerns and wishes with your hair in order to get you the results you are looking for!
-
No problem, I have different prices for my non-K18 guests. I understand that not everyone is comfortable and/or doesn’t want to spend the extra money if they don’t have to. (Although this treatment has changed my world!) Just let me know when booking your service.
Here are your new prices:
Full Foil + Toner — $107 - $221
Vivid Color — $137 - $305
Root Color + Full Foil — $144 - $221
Partial Foil + Toner — $87 - $116
Full Head of Color — $87 - $95
Root Color + Partial Foil — $107 - $137
Toner — $42 +
Root Color — $59 +
Root Color + Toner — $79 +
Partline Foil — $79 - $95
There may be specific circumstances where I feel we will need to use the treatment in order to safely move forward with your service.

I love all things organic and environmentally friendly. You can find my favorite brands and/or products on my products page, and shop right from there!
-
Yes, of course! Just keep in mind I will have to wash your hair, so as long as you're okay with leaving with it wet, we can definitely do that for you.
-
It all depends on your hair and scalp needs. If you have fine hair or an oily scalp, you’ll want lighter formulas that offer a deeper cleanse. For thick or textured hair, you will want something with a deeper condition.

Hair Coloring Questions

An average color service can take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
-
On average, a color service is $145.90, with a toning service including a treatment being $73, and an 8+ hour color service being up to $336.
-
Not much! The most important thing to know is to make sure you’ve washed your hair after swimming in a pool and haven’t used products like Sun-In. The chemicals/ ingredients interact with hair color and lightener and can make your hair melt and smoke. We don’t want that!
As far as washing goes, I recommend not washing your hair for at least 24 hours before your appointment, especially if you have a sensitive scalp. However, it shouldn't have a ton of product buildup or oils, as this can also impact the effectiveness of hair color.
-
Choosing gentle color-safe formulas will do the trick. My favorite for a cleanse and condition is Hairstory’s New Wash, which offers 3 different formulas for your individual needs and is a two-in-one!
To keep your hair color fresh and your hair in good condition, I recommend using a clarifying shampoo once every two weeks on average (I like K18’s Detox Shampoo) and pairing that with a colored conditioner that matches your color or toning preferences (I like O&M’s Clean.Tone).
A simple thing you can do is make sure your hot tools are set on low heat or aren’t higher than 260 degrees, and use a heat protectant.

Coloring has come a long way, and to make sure every individual guest has their specific needs and wants, I customize your color to you. This applies to just plain old haircolor in a tube to your blonding too!
Color can be placed in many ways, and doing a basic application doesn’t always get you those results you see on your Pinterest board. When I am coloring your hair, I take into account your natural color, texture, the way your hair grows, and your lifestyle — That way it is fully customized to you!
-
Low-maintenance color allows you to choose how you want your maintenance schedule to look. Want to come in only four to two times a year? You’ve come to the right place!
Typically, low-maintenance color refers to blondes, but it can mean going darker, reds, or even vivids, too. If there is a will, there is a way, and I can work with you to find a color and maintenance plan that works for you. Schedule your consultation here.
For those pesky grays that won’t go away, I opt to use a demi-permanent color when I can. You can add in highlights with this if you like dimension, but this can be done on its own, too. What makes a demi-permanent color a low-maintenance option is the fact that it will only add a hue to your natural hair. Think of it like a sheer nail polish compared to an opaque one (permanent color). It allows your natural dimension to shine through while shifting your grey to a more neutral color. This creates a natural-looking color while having a softer demarcation line when your roots grow in. For those of you with a lot of white, it will look like you had highlights done! — and the plus side, demi-permanent color doesn’t have all of the extra pigments or open your hair cuticle like permanent color does, which means when it fades, you won’t feel brassy and your hair will feel softer!
-
A corrective color service refers to any color that needs to be completely changed. For example, a color being too dark, highlights (blonde) not being placed or done properly, or wanting to go from one extreme color to another. These services can be timely and require a lot of knowledge and attention in order to achieve your color goals while keeping your hair healthy and happy.
-
If you’re using the right products, forever! (I know that sounds crazy).
I recommend using one of Hairstory’s New Wash cleansers in order to protect your vivids or any color. They are a replacement for your shampoo and conditioner, and the consistency is just like conditioner, so it does take some getting used to, but it is so worth it!
My hair was vivid purple for many years. Eventually, I found New Wash, and my world changed. Instead of my deep violet hair turning to lavender in 3 weeks, when I touched up my color, I would only have to do the re-growth because my ends never faded! — And you won’t catch me washing my hair with cold water ever.

Yes and no, “white” blonde specifically can be very damaging if not done right. I put “white” in quotations because, well, if your hair is white due to unnatural circumstances, your hair is going to fall off your head. This is because the yellow we see in the hair from chemically lightening is keratin at a certain stage. We all have underlying pigments in our hair; depending on where we start, it goes from red to orange to yellow, then to pale yellow. That pale yellow color we see at the lightest of blonde is keratin, which our hair needs to be, well, hair. To put it short, yes, you can have white looking hair when lightened and toned properly, but you will always still see some yellow, especially in certain lighting.
Maintenance for white and silver blondes is the same as far as toning goes. I would recommend having a toning service done about every 4-6 weeks, and between your refreshes, using a colored conditioner at home as you feel the need. Touching up your highlights or your roots with lightener would depend on how much blonding you received. For a low-maintenance blonde, I would recommend every 4-8 months, and a root-to-end blonde would have their roots touched up every 6-8 weeks. The cost would depend on how much blonde you would like to see in your hair. To talk about pricing, please schedule a consultation.

No, while lightening the hair can make it more fragile and the texture will change, if you take the right steps, your hair will not be damaged. This is why I have K18 Treatments included in my color services. K18 will keep your hair strong throughout the process, and it only adds a few minutes to your time with me. To read more about K18, click here.
Now, there are more steps you can take to protect your hair, whether or not it’s colored. Using satin or silk pillowcases, bonnets, and scrunchies will make a world of difference. You can do treatments at home like K18, make sure not to leave your hair wet for too long, and do not tie your hair up when it’s wet, or do tight styles regularly. Using the right hairbrush and techniques to blow-dry and style will help too. Also, regular trims will stop your split ends from climbing up your hair shaft (we all get split ends, there’s no stopping them!).
-
Regular hair color, specifically permanent hair color, is not necessarily damaging, especially if it is professional grade.
Permanent hair colors can dry out your hair due to having to open the cuticle (the outermost layer) to deposit the color. This means that with the right hair color and take-home products, your hair will be far from damaged.

Haircutting & Styling Questions

-
A haircut can start anywhere between $32 and $48. This includes a wash and blow-dry.
-
A natural curl haircut is for you if you have naturally textured hair and you style it in its natural shape!
I use sculpting techniques to cut your hair into your desired shape and length that suits your individual curl patterns and textures.
-
A blowout can range from $19 to $45, depending on the length and thickness of your hair and your desired outcome.
-
Yes! I keep up on the newest styling techniques and can curl your hair with just a round brush and a blow dryer. Now, these curls won’t last quite as long as they would with a curling iron, and it varies depending on your natural hair texture, but if you like a beachy look, this is for you!
-
Of course! I won’t be able to put my stamp of longevity on your curled or straightened hair this way, but I have no issues doing this for you.
At minimum, this would cost the same as my blowout service, since this is also a styling session. It would start at $19 and possibly go up depending on the length of time it takes, just like a blowout. That being said, schedule a 30-minute blowout with me and add in your note while booking that you would only like to receive an iron. If you call the salon, you can let me know then as well.
-
An Angel haircut is just like ordering an angel shot at the bar; it is designed to be a discreet way to help out those of you in an unsafe situation. When booking an Angel Haircut online, be sure to add a note to the service with any information I need to know and how you would like me to help. No, you will not be charged anything, and if you need me to actually cut your hair while waiting on officials, please let me know what you are comfortable with in your booking note.
-
Easy! Use a good heat protectant and keep your hot tools on low heat! — No higher than 260 degrees.
Some of my favorite heat protectants are:
K18’s Molecular Repair Oil
The Ordinary’s Squalane Oil
Intelligent Nutrients’ Good Hair Guardian Thermal Primer
Intelligent Nutrients’ Amplify Hair Blow Out Cream

A full face of makeup is priced at $75.
-
These services are priced the same at $70.
-
Yes, you are able to just get strip lashes. Keep in mind they are temporary and are meant to be taken off at the end of the day.
-
At this time, I do not do on-location wedding parties.
-
Yes, although at the moment I cannot take large wedding parties. Schedule an in-person or video consultation with me, and we can see if I can be a part of your big day. You can also give me a call at (856)-275-7773 and ask for Hailey. Congratulations!
-
First, we would have an in-depth conversation about what you are looking for on your wedding day and make sure that I have your day available for you. If you know what everyone in your party is looking to have serviced, then it will be smooth sailing.
Once we have made sure that I am a good fit for you, I will email over my Contract for you to fill out. This is where we really nail down what your price will be. I don’t do on-location weddings, and I don’t tack on any special event fees, so my pricing for hair and makeup is what you see on my Menu. I require a 45% non-refundable deposit to save your date.
